Cell Migration & Invasion Assay Service

Cell invasion or migration is often assayed in vitro to elucidate mechanisms of physiological activity such as wound healing or cancer cell metastasis. with a variety of cell migration/invasion assay platforms, CD BioSciences designs experiments according to customer requirements and provides accurate results.

Cell Migration & Invasion

  • Cell Migration
Cell migration is one of the basic functions of normal cells, a physiological process for normal growth and development of the body, and a common form of movement of living cells. Cell migration is involved in embryonic development, angiogenesis, wound healing, immune response, inflammatory response, atherosclerosis, cancer metastasis, and other processes.

The material basis of cell migration is microfilaments, microtubules, and intermediate filaments. Microfilaments, microtubules, and various auxiliary proteins together maintain the dynamic balance of the cell migration process and together with many signaling molecules form a complex signaling network that regulates cell migration.

  • Cell Invasion
Cell invasion reflects the response of normal and cancer cells to chemical and mechanical stimuli. Before migrating to a new region, the extracellular matrix is degraded by intracellular proteases. Cell invasion often occurs during wound repair, angiogenesis, and inflammatory responses, as well as abnormal infiltration of tissues and metastasis of tumor cells.

Cell invasion is a specific type of cell migration; invading cells can migrate, but not all migrating cells are invasive, but both cellular physiological processes require the involvement of the cytoskeleton.

Actin-Microtubule Crosstalk During Cell Migration

Cell migration is a complex and dynamic process that is essential for the development and health of any complex organism. Crosstalk between actin contractility and microtubule acetylation. Actin and microtubules regulate the rate of cell migration by controlling the assembly and disassembly of integrin-mediated adhesions.

Our Services

Tumor cell migration and invasion assays are tests that indirectly reflect the ability of tumors to migrate or invade, or the ability to migrate or invade under certain circumstances. CD BioSciences has many years of experience in cellular assays, and with our technical team and instrumentation, we provide cell migration and invasion assays for our clients.

Cell Migration Assay

  • Cell Chemotaxis Assay
Chemotaxis refers to the movement of body cells, bacteria and other unicellular and multicellular organisms that tend to move in response to certain chemicals in the environment. We offer the following cellular chemotaxis assays.
  • Transwell Assay for Cell Chemotaxis
  • Microscopic Visualization of Cell Chemotaxis Assays
  • Cell Haptotaxis Assay
The process of moving towards a chemical gradient of bound substrates is a way of moving tumor cells and is called cell repulsion tropism. We offer a full range of cellular assays for cellular haptotaxis analysis, providing our clients with rapid experimental detection services.
  • Wound Healing Assay
We provide cellular assay services in scratch repair such as differences in cells associated with wound healing, cell proliferation or invasion under different culture conditions, providing our clients with reliable experimental results which can be applied to the development and evaluation of new drugs.

Cell Invasion Assay

Cancer cells can break through the basement membrane to detach from the producing tissue and invade the surrounding tissue. Then, the cancer cells migrate into the blood vessels and are transported to other parts of the body with the blood. We provide our clients with cell invasion assays through the transwell method to evaluate the invasive ability of cancer cells or immune cells.
