Research Scientist, VLPlant^TM

Role Summary

CD BioSciences is dedicated to the production, purification, modification and detection of virus-like particles (VLPs) based on plant platforms. We are recruiting research scientists to lead the lab team to complete the VLP contract research based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• With the support of the research team, detailed and executable experimental procedures are designed according to customer needs and ensure the timely delivery of customer-required results without compromising quality.
• Perform experiments, troubleshooting, data collection, and data analysis complying with all applicable regulatory standards and safety standards.
• Lead, coordinate and supervise laboratory members to complete experiments, collect and summarize experimental data, and complete project reports.
• Demonstrate effective results to management and development teams, with the ability to identify clear actionable next steps.

Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. in plant microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or another related field.
• Extensive laboratory experience (minimum 1 year) in a biochemical CRO/CMO company.
• Familiarity with the principles and operation of experiments related to plant expression systems and VLP modifications.
• Experience with specialized laboratory equipment such as SEM, HPLC, and cryo-EM.
• Strong leadership, organization, collaboration and communication skills.
