Product Overview
Description
Microtubule depolymerization inhibitor.
Target
Microtubule depolymerization
Biological Description
Cabazitaxel is a second generation semisynthetic taxane derived from 10-deacetylbaccatin with potent anticancer activity. Cabazitaxel binds to and stabilizes tubulin, resulting in the inhibition of microtubule depolymerization and cell division, cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase, and the inhibition of tumor cell proliferation. Cabazitaxel is more potent than docetaxel in P-glycoprotein-expressing cell lines with in vitro acquired resistance to taxanes or other chemotherapeutic agents.
Solubility Overview
Soluble in DMSO to > 5 mM.
