Biotechnology Specialist, VLPlant^TM

Role Summary

CD BioSciences is dedicated to the production, purification, modification and detection of virus-like particles (VLPs) on a plant-based platform. We are looking for outstanding, innovative and creative biotechnology specialists to join our R&D team.

Key Responsibilities

• Production and purification of VLP using plant transient expression systems followed by characterization assays at our research platform.
• Develop VLP-based vaccines, drug delivery materials and diagnostic kits.
• Collaborate with research teams to develop additional VLP-related applications.
• Perform statistical data analysis and present results.
• Write and review technical documentation, including SOPs, validation plans, presentations and publications.
• Support the daily operation, service and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. in plant microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or another related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a biochemistry CRO/CMO company is required.
• Strong molecular biology laboratory skills and the ability to complete project design and perform team management are required.
• Ability to multitask and contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced and challenging intellectual environment.
• Ability to complete documentation including data summaries, technical, analytical and scientific reports and transfer procedures to manufacturing.
